Losing pens shouldn't be considered normal

I own a lot of pens. Most of them are priced below 10 bucks and a few are pricey. Usually, its the pricier ones that gets lost into the world while the cheaper ones remain forever faithful. So, I finally gave in to my only solution so far:

Buying and using a pencil case.

I vandalized it using a Sharpie. That is a fish and what used to be a mermaid (now dead and bloated). I lose my pens after I have used them and when I start looking for little holes to put them in. Now, they have a bench whenever they are not needed on the arena so there is a bigger chance I finish a tube of ink.

I take my pens seriously. That is why I think they deserve a green pencil case and a blog post . If you're looking for the best ballpen available in the universe, you can start with Pilot V-ball Grip 0.5 (retractable, I use blue). Please learn to love it. I hate it when things I love go out of production because not enough units are sold.

No classes today and I'm waiting for inspiration to study.

AKYL

Written last July 25, 2010.

I remember staying up late at night just to beg the higher power to throw me into Hogwarts while I'm asleep. I remember whispering "alohomora" to the padlock whenever I lose my keys for my grade school locker. I remember faith in the existence of Hogwarts. Now, its all over. Just eight full-length films featuring a world I have repeatedly begged to be a part of.

I can't even start put an outline into this mixture of emotions. As if I do not want to understand it because when you understand, you  close the inquiry. I don't like endings.

Burgers, Milk Tea, Planking, UAAP

I say sorry religiously when I am unable to post a blog entry for a long time that its starting to get annoying and less sincere.

For that, here is a photo of me planking. In my head (hidden from the camera) is remorse for setting what is supposed to be an immortalization of my normal-ish life aside for what it seems to be very long weeks.

That is not a mere symbolic show of regret rather, it is also a barbaric one. That rubber matting, which in the photo I am unusually close to, is shared within the bajillions of other PE classes. That translates to bodily liquids and the stench of it coating the whole area (but especially thicker in the center parts, precisely where I'm at). Not only my stomach was upset after doing this plank.

Above is a photo of milk tea. It has a taste I do not particularly like but I enjoy nonetheless. You should try the Lychee Jasmine Tea with Pearls. Its the best so far (because its the only one I've tried and it felt like I won the jackpot after the first sip). That is my milk tea. I did not download that off the internet from some "David". I have shared before why in establishments that ask for names instead of providing customers with claiming stubs I call myself 'David'. (it is, by empirical proof, a requirement that all food servers be able to misspell the name "Leo" with no disregard of what dignity is left in those who bear it)

Yes, of course! The Ateneo-La Salle UAAP basketball games - or the Ateneo basketball games in general. Araneta is divided into two halves, one side is green (or whatever color), the other blue. I'm not a fan of basketball, of any sport in fact (watching people with glorious physical abilities hurts my frail system. I am disabled by comparison), but in this scenario, I have fighters to root for - purpose. If I could be an athlete, it would be in the sport where you have to claw your armrests while screaming "GET THAT BALL, GET THAT BALL" when your team is in offense.

Moo-ving on...
I've been a very bad eater these past few days. See above two meat sandwiches, fresh from the microwave. If I use ketchup with a sense of austerity, my pipes could have exploded already. Yeah.

The 'real/major' reason why I've been unable to log-in and type away was that I was torn between my need for excess rest and work. I remember cheering for my class schedule which had eons of vacant periods and divine early dismissals. I was happy too early because now I am realizing that my ability to focus and speed in doing school work require more than eons.

So that is what's up or at least what I can remember. Or what I can bear to share. Baaah.

Look at my dorm cork board.

I printed and cut most of these at around 2 AM last weekend just because I couldn't sleep.

I have nothing to talk about. Stress from school is making me feel itself already. =((

To Grey

Introduce yourself! So I can give you a hug. lol (the lol doesn't necessarily mean I'm bluffing)

But seriously dude! You should be proud of yourself - at least to me. Wanting to see me smile supercharges my zest to actually be happy! But again the realist kicks in. And here are my cases.

1. You're actually just a coping mechanism of my mind in that in my need to be noticed, I created an 'other self'. That 'other self' is you and to make the illusion even better is that I and "other self" don't actually know each other. Woah! (should I shift to BS Psych?)

2. You are a supernatural being. All the things I've been experiencing in the dorm for the past few nights are horror-story material. Seriously. So this wouldn't be that hard to believe in.

3. You're an actual living organism. You are actually a real person who actually cares about me.

I can't even give full credit to case no. 3 as I can with the two previous cases. Somehow, I find it oddly very unlikely.

Are we schoolmates? You can at least give me that! (still that would suck. There are thousands here!) Or your sex. I won't take any answer against you. lol.

Of hate.

I am trying to divest myself of any trace of hate and now I will try to convince myself to believe in a self-made, likely-flawed but calming definition of hate.

photo from here

As cold is the absence of heat, hate is only the absence of love. And everything on this earth is lovable - as love for self is innate and that nothing is too unique to have nothing in common with. We are born to love, with love, on love and we remove it ourselves only when we disapprove.

And sometimes certain people piss us off. Sometimes we hope that the words that define us are in a separate dictionary from those creatures. Sometimes we just can't keep on living thinking that a certain person and ourselves have similarities. Especially when that person can seem like a fugitive from hell, bringer of doom and destruction. The human world works in a funny way.

Therefore, if a person is making you want to rip someone apart, laugh at them. Because again, its just the world joking. Funny, funny world. And when you laugh at them, it will tick them off. All the better.

Haven

The New Rizal Library of the Ateneo De Manila University.

Whit-wew. photo from here

The New Rizal Library will most likely become my favorite place in the Ateneo. If the rules are not against it, I would carry all my stuff from the dorm and move into the fourth floor. Its really sexy from the outside but its nothing short of my definition of habitat inside.

Inside photos here.

They have very efficient, computer-based, easily-searchable catalogs. Today, I borrowed a Woody Allen book, "Side Effects". Using the catalogs, I found out they have titles which I have been itching to read but wasn't able to find a copy of. A few days back I borrowed "Like Water for Chocolate" which I heard my Literature professor talk about. The books are in prime condition: used, yellowed pages in hard cover. Its just a wonderful place. Here is their website.

I don't know about you but I fancy being a little cold while getting lost in the pages of a book. Its air conditioned and with really cozy couches (to the benefit of students who want to temporarily lose consciousness during the day). If you exit a section of the library and into the staircase/landing area (or elevator for those who abhor anything to do with stairs), you will hear the water jumping around the fountain. Veeeery relaxing.

Its only the third day of classes tomorrow and I'm already going crazy over a building.
